Every high thing must come down, every strong hold shall be broken. I just kept saying this is my head today! This song touches my heart so much! Music can really get me on fire for The Lord! Nothing is higher than God and it will be broken. We can not be strong without Him. No matter how strong we think we are we can NOT fight God or do anything without Him! He just wants to fill our hearts and I want to let His glory show! Every word in this song shows Gods true glory and how awesome He is!
A victor is a person who defeats an enemy or opponent in a battle. God defeated satan. Satan thought he was stronger than God but God broke that and brought Him down! We are nothing without Him!! A crown is a thing usually decorated placed on the head symbolizing authority and at the top of something. That crown will never be taken from God. We can trust that God will always be at the top and He will continue to overcome!
For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” (Deuteronomy 20:4 NIV). We can not have victory without God. Every victory we think we have is nothing without our God!
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. (1 Corinthians 9:24-27 NIV).
and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said. (Matthew 27:29 NIV). They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him. (Mark 15:17 NIV).
You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor and put everything under their feet.” In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. (Hebrews 2:7-9 NIV).
Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. (Revelation 12:3 NIV).
Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. (Revelation 4:4 NIV).
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8 NIV).
And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. (1 Peter 5:4 NIV).
God has the crown and that will never ever be taken from Him. He wears it in highest regard for our lives. He loves us. He will share His love and righteousness with us when we accept His undeniable glory and perfectness! He is everything to us. He will always remain high and higher every day. In my heart I need to keep Him in the highest regard and just be broken before Him and be humbled and know that I can never amount to enough but He loves and forgives me!
For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? (1 Thessalonians 2:19 NIV). His crown should bring us joy and peace. I should be shouting from rooftops that God is way up there and has the deepest and most perfect heart and loves me! He has great plans for me; I just have to be brave enough and trust Him to let Him do those plans! Praise you Lord!
