Purity

The definition of pure is not mixed. In our relationship with God purity is such a huge thing! It doesn't just relate to our sexual purity which is huge in being devoted to God and good; but it relates to all aspects of our life! Not being mixed with any worldly desires or passions or longings. Even just to watch TV not mixing our hearts and minds with that. God can bless us the most when we are fully devoted to Him and focused on Him and not allowing other ingredients in. What comes in will come out. If we listen to swear words they will come out. If we desire or talk about sexual things or even see relationships and love on TV it can produce and evoke those thoughts in us and give us those desires and temptations and those temptations get rooted in us. Those temptations can then become idols and then we make a worse image out of God and see Him in the wrong way and mix Him with other things.
Here are some purity verses I like for all people! Some may seem like they are just for married people but in reality it is for all people to prepare for marriage or encourage others in marriage and just how you should live your life!
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV).
Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. (Hebrews 13:4 NIV).
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. (Matthew 5:28, 29 NIV).
It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 NIV).
And really I feel like you substitute any sin against God here too and it is not honorable!
Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word. (Psalm 119:37 NIV).

God wants our whole heart and we need to not be distracted or mixed! Lord lead me to just solely desire and love you and let running waters of You flow in me!
