Back to Isaiah though it is just such a remarkable book and I am going to be very sad when I am done going through it. But that does NOT mean I am done with Gods word. I was thinking going to another Old Testament book like Psalms or Jeremiah. In Isaiah there is so much depth and truth and just power that God used Isaiah to speak about. All scripture is God-breathed 2 Timothy 3:16. It is just amazing to see the sin of the world then and that is still here now and just how much grace and forgiveness God has and how people just continue to sin against Him. But ultimately how Isaiah talks about the coming of our Savior that we desperately need!!! God had a plan to save us and guess what? He still always does. We just have to love Him enough to trust Him and then obey Him. God gives us the greatest gift we have to be strong enough in faith to accept that gift. Isaiah has really encouraged my hunger for God and just taught me more about Gods great glory and how amazing He truly is! It is just really cool to observe the challenges of the people throughout time and how God was working in it the whole time and doing things to change their lives! God is changing our lives when we don't even realize it. I can look back over the last 2 months and realize just WOW how much God has done and how He has been working on my heart. When we truly quiet our lives and are ready for Him and submissive to what He desires, He will work in us! Sometimes being busy for me is good especially because it can distract me from sin but that is not actually changing my heart it is just avoiding working through the problems. And it usually results in me having less one on one time with God which I cherish and feel is very important. The last thing I want to do is run away from God. I just want to continue to quiet my life and heart and be focused on God and ask Him where and who He wants me to serve! He will lead me where I am supposed to go!
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5, 6 NIV).
