He has a powerful perspective on death since his 5 year old daughter died a little over a year ago. This is something that is unimaginable. He speaks on not just living on experiences and that God has control of when to make us feel on fire for Him. It is never too young to dedicate your life to Him and surrender. It is not a one time commitment though. It is continually done throughout your life. Over and over again you have to choose God to be your God. It is giving up your right to lead and saying God you made me and You made a plan for me. I no longer choose this world. I choose you. You are better and higher than my phone, my clothes, sports and anything else. Imagine how excited you get during a sports game screaming and cheering...we should be that and more excited about God! Every step we make in God sooooo excited! When someone is saved we should be all over it like they just won the championship game! The battle never stops! We have to fight the good fight! We have to win. Every person that doesn't take Jesus as the personal savior will go to hell. That is the truth. We shouldn't be lazy and keep God to ourselves we should be telling people about Him every where we go!! If you stay at home with your kids tell your kids! Write people letters! If you work tell your coworkers or clients! Jesus literally died on the cross so we could go live with Him someday! He cares deeply for our needs so He died so we could be forgiven. He was the ultimate and final sacrifice. All we have to do is say yes You did die for us...thank you sooo much! I want to go and serve you now and show how much I love you to the world! I don't love the things of the world more than You God. I choose You. You are more to me than anything else. My phone won't save me at the end of this life, it won't come with me to heaven. My friends can't save me from going to hell. A 2 million dollar house can't save you from hell. But God our mighty Lord can! Just like we need oxygen to breathe we need God to love and have a true heart!
Levi gave one of the best message I had ever heard on purity. It wasn't cheesy or silly or saying that any sexual desire is evil and bad. He spoke in a loving and caring way. He said God does want is to have good sex and He loves sex. But only in one case. The circle of marriage. A God given marriage. One man and one woman. Any moment before marriage is not Gods time. Levi also acknowledges that there are many things that are sinful that aren't exactly described but fall into the category of sexual immorality. He stated a fact that is crazy. People in the US ages 19-29, 80% are not virgins. Many people fall into the pattern of sex, breaking up, sex breaking apart. When you have sex you don't just do something physically you give a piece of your heart. You leave your heart in places. When you get married you aren't giving your whole heart you are giving them a picked over heart. On the other hand there is forgiveness. You can remake the decision to devote yourself to saving for marriage. It's not over.
Pornography is now the fastest growing industry in the US. That is disgusting. The average age people have some experience or witness to pornography is age 6. It just keeps growing with technology. There are so many problems with this. People begin to lust with their eyes and their hearts. The addiction and needs becomes deeper and stronger. You just want more and more. The old stuff is no longer good enough. You constantly want more. Does that suddenly change then when you get married?? No! You will want more and your husband or wife won't have perfect lighting and retouching. It's the same person aging as your marriage grows. Studies show the most satisfied sexually active people are married people aged 50-59. We aren't wasting our time not have sex at a young age. We can't say when we get married what if we aren't sexually compatible? Well if you saved yourself you have nothing to compare it to. That's the way God planned it. Marriages are usually ended because of things that happened long before marriage. Problems that started in us before marriage. If you couldn't keep yourself from sex or pornography before marriage what will suddenly change when we get married?? Nothing. The decision has to be made and change you. God planned sex for a specific place and time and if it is messed with it will mess with you. Sin kills you. Every choice you make has to be thought about in the long run. Not well right now this feels great who cares what the consequences are from this in a year or even 20 years. You could technically cheat on your spouse before you are even married. God knows who you will marry even if you don't. That doesn't mean you can't live your life or make any choice to go on a date or pursue a relationship with someone, it just means be patient and do it on God terms. He gives us instructions because He wants marriages to be great! Our life can't be live in the moment. It's what God desires and is best for the future. What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. It stays with you.
The consequences of sex continue to grow. Levi and his wife got pregnant within the first year of marriage. The went to the doctor to confirm it and the doctor said "do you want to keep it"? He said you guys are young. They said our baby? Yes we want to keep our baby. The doctor then said I think you guys will be great parents. This is the world we are living in. People can't even deal with their own consequences. There is punishment for sin. Not only do people sin then they murder also. Sex is sacred and for marriage. Everything to do with sex is only truly blessed in a marriage. Sex will hurt you since it is so close to the heart. Many people choose to have oral sex instead because they think it's safer but now people are getting HIV by their throats and then getting throat cancer. 30% of throat cancer in the US is caused by oral sex. It is not an old time thing to do to wait till marriage. It is what we should do. It's Gods call for us. No one should be made fun of for waiting. We should all be waiting. God will give us the strength to fight! But we have to fight! I wear a ring on my with the Lord's Prayer on it and last night someone asked me if it was my purity ring and I said I guess it kind of is! I am not ashamed that I will wait till marriage and in Gods time.
