Faith alive!

Lately I have been thinking a lot about how people just tell you to pray a prayer and you will be saved or say these words and you are automatically and forever saved. This is not true and is worse than the people who outwardly are not living for God. You are confessing to believe in God but not actually living it out. You are saying the words and not doing the works. You have faith with no deeds. It is just like when someone says they deeply care about you and then when you are in need of help they do nothing to help you. I believe demons know there is a God they just don't worship Him or believe that He is the holy creator.
Our faith should be a trust in God that results in good holy works that strengthen Gods kingdom. It's so important and vitale to not have a dead faith that was a prayer one time but that is repeated every minute of every day. I want to be craving literally to read His word and be hungry for God and be ready to speak to Him with my joys and sorrows. I want Him to be the one I run to all the time!
Are your long term needs being fulfilled by God or by idols and other people? Do you truly believe that if you go out and share your faith in the dangers of a country God will save you and bring you out of the fire without burns? If we have this strong faith that is real and true we are also called to share with others this deep and amazing passion we have!
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:5-6 NIV).
Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (James 1:23-27 NIV).
Take a look at this awesome passage of James and fulfill in your life the need for belief and for deeds. It is not one or the other. Just like if you are trying to find the notes on your iPad from your laptop and you can't because you don't have a connection to the cloud, you can't connect to God without the connection to the Holy Spirit and living how Jesus did. How selfless He was, how persistent He was!
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:14-26 NIV).
You aren't alive if you aren't born again in Christ and your faith isn't alive without you living that out!!
